Hi, I'm Wynne.

Wynne Chan is a Hong Kong-American director and performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She's currently directing The Chinese Lady by Lloyd Suh and Love Letters by A.R. Gurney at The Pear Theatre. As a director, her goal is to tell more Asian and Asian American stories. ​ Learn more about her upcoming work here.

Some of her favorite directing credits include: Chinglish at San Francisco Playhouse (associate director) and Plethos Productions, Tell Me on a Sunday at SDC Productions, The Language Archive at Masquers Playhouse, and Tiny Beautiful Things at Plethos Productions. Wynne is the co-founder and artistic director of SDC productions
, a collaborative theatre and cabaret group in the Bay Area.​ You can occasionally find her on stage as an actor and behind the scenes as a dramaturg.

Outside of theatre, Wynne dabbles in photography and creating multi-course dining experiences. She is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, and speaks enough Japanese to chat with a coffee shop owner. She also has 10 years of nonprofit experience and a background in product management and finance.
